Uvalde Foundation For Kids Launches "Back The Blue," Emergency Fund
The Uvalde Foundation For Kids is proud to announce our "Back The Blue," Emergency Fund! The,"Back The Blue," Emergency Fund is specifically designed as an ongoing emergency fund available through the foundation to Police officers , law enforcement personnel and/or their families who have been injured/killed in the line of duty. While we recognize that often, officers, thankfully, "On the job" injuries are often covered for medical expenses and other relatives, they often fail to allow officers enough financial stability to take well deserved & needed time off from their duties. The bills still must be paid & we are here to help!
Funding for the program is available through individual/organizational donations, special foundation fundraisers, ongoing contributions & private benefactors. Additionally, as with our other programs; a percentage of all foundation donations is distributed to the emergency fund program. The FoundationsBoard of Director's & National Advisory Board Members oversee, vett & distribute program funds.
Funding through the program is ONLY AVAILABLE to department & personnel for their illustrated dedication to serving & protecting our nation's student's from violence and is
meant to cover emergency expenditures such as: medical expenses, daily living expenses, counseling & other mental health care, funeral/memorial expenses & scholarships.
Our "Back The Blue," Emergency Fund provides officers and/their families emergency funding so that they may focus on their own recovery - In all areas. They have served & protected our youth - our students - we will serve them if their steps ever falter...
